question bout msd btm unit

installing the unit on my 94 z28 for my supercharger. have questions bout the trigger wires stuff.... i have everything on the unit installed but don't understand how to wire up the trigger wires/magnetic pickup? which one should i use? i found the plug that goes into the distributor, but how do i splice into it, like what color wire... i need some step by step install. also if i have wires connected into the coil wires why do i have to connect into the distributor then?
