Question bout this built motor!!

I know theres no exact way of telling and theres ALOT of factors. But i'm asking because i've bout to buy a car with one in it. Its got 30k on the motor and was built by kim Barr in garland, tx. Well known for knowing and builting good stuff. Any idea of how long a motor like this might last?
Specs on the motor are.

Engine: 370rwhp/380rwtq
30K on Motor.
LT1, bored .030 over
forged bottom end with 11.1:1 pistons
LG stage 2 heads and port matched intake
comp cams 1.6 Pro Mag rollor rockers and chromoly pushrods
comp cams .510/.520 lift 230/236 diration 112 LSA cam
ported 52mm Throttlebody
Throttlebody air foil
G2 Cold Air Intake w/ K&N Filter
G2 Smooth Intake Bellows
Accell 400+ ignition module
Accell 24# Injectors (have 30's for it)
Custom computer tune
LT4 knock module

Is there anything that i should look out for soon? Everything was installed by LG motorsports. Also anyone know how long a t-56 will last?! It has 125k on it so just wondering!

Thanks for any info!

Re: Question bout this built motor!!

If it were me I would do a compression check to make sure the rings seated properly otherwise it looks like it would last quite awhile as long as it has been and will be maintained properly.. The T-56's will get noisy especially in 4th and have a certain rattle to them from worn bearings.. In my old TA it lasted 50k with the 4th gear noise then I broke the 3-4 slider... If it doesnt grind and doesnt pop out of gear then its fine..

Sweet man thanks for the info. Who can i take it to to get the compression check though? I've never done one of those. Whats everything that should be maintained incase i'm missing something. Can i expect to maybe put another 30k on it or even more then that??
I'll remember that to check out the tranny. If it does break my friend just offered to get it fully rebuilt for like 350 and some change so i'm covered there.

Re: Question bout this built motor!!

You can take it to just about any automotive shop or you can do it yourself, the guages are about $30 at autozone.. I would change the oil, flush the cooling system, change the rear end gear oil and add some GM LSD additive.. I would say it should last way longer than 30k.. If assembled right you should be able to get another 100k out of it... The trans maybe a different story but the engine should be good to go.. When the trans does go I would rebuilt it and replace some of the parts with higher quality stuff from D&D (3-4 shift fork, syncros, etc).. Have a good one man and good luck with your new car!
