Will any self aligning SB chevy roller rockers fit on the LT1? If not, why? I'm trying to find some decently priced 1.6s. Thanks for your time guys.

 

i think the problem with most brands are that they won't clear the valve covers.

 

theyll fit, you just have to knock the baffles out from the vavlecovers

 

Anyone know why the baffles are in there to begin with? Just to add strength to the valve cover or what? Is anyone running a regular SB RR that needed some modifying on the valve covers?

 

oil baffles or something, most people just take them out, or you can get lt4 covers.

 

How much are LT4 covers and what is the part #?

 

LT4 covers will be close to $200 by the time you get them and all parts required in your hands. A search should find info on all the parts you need to purchase.

 

They are not baffles. They are supports for the tubes that locate the screws that hold the valve covers on. Most people don't take them out, they cut away some of the metal so the supports will fit between the rockers.
