Question about Taylor plug wire set for LT1

Noticed that Thunderracing.com is having a sale on Taylor wires. Think I will pick up a set. One thing though... do these sets come with a new coil wire?

A number of my friends were using them and orginally I bought a set, but they seem to have a tendency to burn through a lot causing you to loose power and have a light show inside your engine bay...now maybe it's coincidence and we just happen to get a bad set but I didn't feel like taking a chance so I just payed a little more and bought the msd's. I know plenty of people use them but why spend that much already and then have to replace them again after 4 months or so. Personally I won't ever buy them again unless im lacking finacial funds. Just me .02 - do as you wish

I agree. The Taylor wires are junk. I had a set and they burned up and you could always see the spark through the boot. I'm running Accel extreme 9000 now. Best set out IMHO.

I thought the Taylor OTVC's solved the problem of burned wires?

Even if they don't burn, they are still a cheap wire. Just my $.02.

been running Taylor OTVC wires for 2 yrs now, not one single problem

when people fail to route them correctly and make sure things arent right before firing up and driving off then you will experience problems with anything (plug wires included)

i like them and have no plans of switching to another wire....

You can get a MSD Universal set to fix in the Made4You looms on the OTVC setup. Just swapped out my Taylors for MSD's and even though the MSD's are thicker it fit the looms without any problems.

Been running taylors in my black car for a couple years now, no problems, and my purple pearl car has them too.

It's all a matter of how they're routed and personal preference.
