Question about Rocker rollers

When I get the LT4 hotcam kit will I need new valve covers? I see every one on here talking about having rocker rollers and needing valve covers.

Re: Question about Rocker rollers

It's the Comp Pro Mags that need the stock cover modification.

Re: Question about Rocker rollers

People get the LT4 covers for noise reduction, as they are a composite material, rather than stamped steel, they muffle noise better..

Re: Question about Rocker rollers

The LT4 rockers that come in the kit are some real nice peices, they fit very nicely no mods. I had them years ago on my old 93 and loved them.

Re: Question about Rocker rollers

My stockers went in whitout any mods over my Scorpion 1.7 Roller Rockers. Now those suckers are real Beefy. I thought it was fishy but they just went in. Now The sound of my roller rockers on a quiet nite is defenetelly not "Date Friendly" I wonder how much quieter are the LT4s compared to the stockers. The price of the LT4s is ridicuously high. I know you guys think that the price aint no thing but I think they are expensive. over 200 for two pieces of molded plastic...err composite material sounds a bit much but if it works then it works.

I am going for the LT4s because noise reduction but not before I re-adjust my rockers. I think I over tighten them just a bit and if they get a bit quieter then I wil stick to the stockers.
