Question about my y-pipe and starter

I have a MAC 2 1/2 in y pipe and I am going to need to change out my starter today. I cant remember if the bigger y-pipe is in the way and I am going to have to take it off or not. I cant get under the car until this afternoon and I was just curious to how much work is ahead of me. Thanks in advance.

Its not too bad, hopefully you used some anti seize on the bolts. Depending on the design of the y-pipe and what starter is on the car you can remove it without removing the pipe. I have to drop the y-pipe on my Edelbrock headers to remove my powermaster starter.

Thats what I afraid of. Oh well, I have from 2 oclock til its dark so whether I have to take the pipe off or not, I should be able to get that crappy starter off and the new one on. Thanks for the reply.
