Question about a muffler!

I was wondering if anyone here is running the single chambered Flowmaster on their LT1. You can see the mods in my sig. Im looking for a different sound but not anything to loud. Any soundclips?

I got a Flowmaster about 4 or 5 years ago and have no clue which one I have. All I know is that its loud as hell with my new motor. I need something to quiet her down.

I had the single chamber flow if you are looking for quiet then thats not the muffler for you. Its not as loud as the loudmouth but pretty darn close.

At the time I wasn't even really into the whole hot rod thing and was racing bikes. I go the Catback 3" system and thought a certain muffler just came with it.

Im just looking for a different sound I guess. Not really loud, but something that will sound good with my cam. I guess Im just tired of the raspy Flowmasters and plus everyone has them.

Isn't that series of muffler a single outlet, or two on the same side along the lines of the SLP two on the left?

Yeah the muffler that comes in the American Thunder system is 3'' single outlet, or atleast thats what I have. I just want something different sounding.

Get a Spintech. Not many people have them, and they're quieter than a comparable Flowmaster. Much less interior resonance. They still have a nice aggressive tone, but a sound that's unique to them.

I don't have any clips of my setup. I'd get some, but the car's down and the engine's out. Their website is www.spintechmufflers.com The sound clips on their site aren't that great, they sound much better in person. I'm sure there are some sound clips floating around. I know SkarodoM has a sweet clip of his 4" setup.

They have Camaro Z28's with Spintechs on exhaustsoundclips.com. They sound wicked! Very nice sounding muffler!

The American Thunder cat-back is dual outlet, one on each side. That's what I've got. Flowmaster has another series (can't remember the name) with a single outlet. Of course you can buy all of the mufflers seperate.

My American Thunder system had one 3'' single outlet. I guess you can choose which one you want.

I don't think so, it's a different system.

Edit: I guess they do have a single outlet American Thunder now. Back when I ordered mine the only single outlet Flowmaster had was the Force II system. It must be fairly new. I'm such a fool!!!
