Question about LSA ...
Hahah Ok thanks I appriciate it.
Thats what I always thought, but tonite my buddy was argueing with me telling me it had something to do with the LSA. And the LSA is pretty straight forward ... So I felt like a huge retard thinking I was missing something here ... I know a little bit about cams, but he threw me off with that one ... And I'd rather ask a dumb question than make a dumb statement...

what was he saying? richhammer is correct. LSA also indicates and affects overlap., but duration does too. what i mean by that is a 224/230 cam on a 112 wont have the same overlap as a 230/236 on a 112... but you could add overlap to the 224/230 by grinding it on a tighter LSA like 110 or 108.
Yea, I knew all of that. I have a pretty firm grasp on the basics of camshafts. And its pretty simple to follow how LSA & Duration affect overlap. Thanks though I appriciate it.
He was rambling on about he thought it meant that the LSA was 108, but that the lobes remained at peak lift for 2* each or something like that. He really is pretty clueless about this stuff, but I let him get inside my head. I shoulda known better lol.
