Question about longtubes and OBD2

I was considering getting in on the group buy for the jethot longtubes but wanted to know if I would have any problems with the OBD2 and no emissions. I realize I would have to buy O2 sims, that's not a problem. But will I throw a code without EGR or Air? I plan on doing heads and a cam down the road (next winter?), so I'd rather not have to flash the computer now and then have to do it again down the road. Also, I searched around and didn't find the answers I was looking for. Thanks!

You will have to get the computer re-programmed or else the car will have fits from what i understand

So buy the headers now and install later when you do the heads and cam. That way you only have to reprogram once. Saves a bit of work, because you'd have to take them off later anyway.

why don't you just go ahead and hook up the EGR/AIR? get the LT's with the Air fittings. There is no performance gain from removing them, the EGR does not heat up the intake ambient air enough to make a difference. You will not throw a code that way. Depends too on your state emmissions. If they visual inspect for smog pump etc. If your goal is to lose weight and lose the air pump I guess that's a little weight but I still don't see the benefit of removing the EGR and messing with the PCM.

Thanks for the replies. Emissions aren't an issue for me. The vehicle is registered in Pennsylvania, but I live in Illinois (it's legal), so unless I move back to Pennsylvania I don't have to worry about that. I would buy them with the EGR/AIR but the group buy this time only has them without.
