Question Question about a hose from the optispark?

Ok this hose comes from the optispark and it has a bue and white plastic cirlce around it (mine sits up by the drivers side valve cover)..........well i was wondering where it goes? it seems to be disconected and this could be why my engine is idling right.

thanks

It connects to the drivers side of the intake. There should be a fitting there for it to slide on to.

Right next to the PCV valve.

It's a fitting that's screwed into the manifold with a thin 1" nipple that the hose slides onto. Shouldn't be anything else on it.

Here's a picture of the hose on the fitting.

on my 96, the opti has two vaccum ports coming out, one goes to fresh air, the blue 90' on your intake elbow, and one goes to the spot on the intake(as noted in the egr routing info on the radiator shroud), the larger one goes up to the intake....with mine disconnected(the larger one going to the intake) the car ran a perfect, i don't know what the deal is, i recently reconnected it(at the time i didnt know it was disc. it seems to slip off and because it is so close to the harm. balancer, it would hit if i clamped it)....anyways i recently connected it and the car dosent feel faster at all.....but idles and drives perfect...no problems at all, wether its connected or not i cant tell the diff if its idleing and i plug it in while its running. its weird, i know it was disc. when i got it, so my intake and opti was probably sucking in oil and dirt shiz so its probably messed up??????

Thanks anaik, the hose that goes to the EGR solenoid was attached to it. So i unplugged it and pluged in the vacum hose. But there was something else (it looks just like the hose that goes to the EGR solenoid, has the same boot, that comes from the front of the engine and the #10216948 on it) plugged into the nipple in which the hose goes to the EGR soleniod. So now i dont know where that hose goes?

I know it may sound kind of confusing, sorry about that. Its the best way i can describe.

Just to clarify things, the hose that goes to the EGR solenoid cones from the back of the engine, correct?

The line for the EGR is plastic with a 90 degree boot and goes right above the PCV onto a simular fitting as for the opti vacuum. It does come from the back of the engine. I don't have that line with the number on it that comes from the front of the engine, so I'm lost there.

I looked on the other side of the manifold to see if there is a line, liked described, There are two, but they both come from the back. One is for the fuel pressure regulator, and the other for the heater controls.
