The TFS heads flow about 10-15 cfm better than my LE3 heads.

I KNOW what these heads flow and my 285 cfm claim on the LE3 is very conservative. The LE2 haeds with a 275 cfm claim is very conservative as well.

The RHS (Pro Aaction) heads that FASTFATBOY has started off at 64 cc and after angle milling them .130, they ended up at 50 cc's.

The problem with the TFS heads is that the valve seat is alot closer to the deck and after installing a 2.08 intake valve, you really cant mill very much before the 45 degree sealing angle on the intake valve seat is exposed and this limits how much you can mill them. You "might" be able to get them in the 59 cc range if the customer is willing to pay for angle milling and you are probably stuck in the 61 cc range with flat milling.

Do you have average flow numbers on those two heads? I didn't know the TFS were like that, is it because the valves are twisted in the chamber?

So my heads barley outflow your LE3? At peak or average? Damn you make a brotha feel bad.

Dave,

nah, forget the flow difference.

Your heads have the material to keep the air at 295-300 fps on the short side with a 2.08 valve flowing those #'s.

The LE3 heads end up with the air moving at 315 fps with a 2.055 valve at the lower flow #'. You run out of material before you get it any slower.

Your heads have the larger cross section over the short side and can hold that measurement further back up in the port. They are also larger at the PR pinch.

A few years back while asking for help on which way to go for a mild setup that would pass emissions you were all very helpfull. At one point I called Lloyd to see what a set of heads would cost me. Nice guy to talk to as anyone thats called him will tell you. A few days later I had a few more questions for you gents and out of the blue Lloyd calls me just to help with the new questions I had. Must have talked for almost an hour. Now thats some great customer service.
