thinking about getting knock module since i have a loud exhaust/dumped.is it worth the dough and what benifits should i see?looking for some input.

 

It only helps if you are getting false knock readings. If you aren't getting any knock retard, or if you are but it is due to real knock/pinging/detonation, then the LT4 KM won't help. In fact in the latter case it would make the situation worse.

Well you need to be able to scan the PCM and read, among other things, KR at full throttle all the way through the RPM range. There could definitely be sub-audible pining.

If I had a .25 for everytime ive seen this post throughtout the years ...general answer is for 30 bucks and a ten second install why not...btw I didnt notice anything on my old 97, some say they felt a little smoother in the upper rpms.

 

Pretty much sums up how I feel about it.
