question about exhaust
i hear everyone putting headers on their car and Y pipes and cut outs etc.....
which all free up the flow of exhaust and reduce back pressure......doesn't this make you lose tq?
i have my cat cut off and some people say do it and some people say don't because you'll lose tq.
but then they throw headers a Y pipe and cut out on.
if your running a stock cam won't all of this hurt your low end?
what if you took your cat off and put a Y pipe with a cut out? are you reducing it the same amount as headers would?
i think i got kinda confused hearing everyone say don't take your cat off cause of TQ and low end.
can anyone clear this up for me?

Torque vs. Top end is relative towards the size of the piping in an exhaust system.
Shorties are known more for Torque, where as Long Tubes are more for Top End gains. Concurrently, shorties often use 1 5/8th primaries where most long tubes are generally 1 3/4th primaries.
