Question about clutch install...

Is the rubber boot that covers the shifter suppose to be glued down? I started getting into my clutch swap today and I couldn't even get the damn thing off! What should I use to get it off and do I need to be worried about tearing it? Thanks

Yes I know that, I took the bolts out, but it seems to be glued down too. Maybe the orignally owner put some rtv or something on it when he had it off for the shifter change.

Just get an end started and it should come up fine. I think mine was done like this too. It is some heavy rubber so I really dont think you will have a problem of ripping it.

Actually they are 7 MM bolts. I would just pull it up or pry it up.
