Question about changin from 94 to 95+ timing cover

This is a question concerning about what problems could arise from changing from a 94 timing cover to a 95+ timing cover. I am questioning this because I hear the 95+ timing covers stick out a little more than the 94 for the longer dowel pin to drive the vented opti. My major question is, will the water pump have to be replaced as well? The water pump already sits so close to my timing cover and is a concern for me right now. Any information or links would be most helpful. Thanks.

the waterpump is the same. I believe what you need to make the swap is the opti harness, opti, opti vent tubes, 95+ chain, 95+ timing cover, 95+ cam i probably forgot something but i believe that is it.

no don't worry about you water pump they are the same. but the other stuffz95m6 said you will have to replace, although you don't have to replace timing chain or sprocket, they are the same. the new cam is for the dowel pin to run the new opti, but you already knew that. good luck any more questions just give me an e-mail. i have done this to my car already.
