Question about automatic headlamps on firebird.

Hey guys. i got my formula not too long ago and the sensor for the headlamps didnt seem to good coz they would go up sometimes even when its light outside. So i snipped the two wired goign to the sensor in the dash. While i was doing this i noticed allot of duist on the sensor which prolly made them come up even in the day. anyways since i cut them they always seem to come up. anyone know what to do? i hate how it looks with the lights up.

cuttin that wire will result in the lights always coming up. in order to completely eliminate the automatic headlight feature, you have to wire in a specific resistor between the wires. i dont remember the exact resistance, though (our american birds dont have that silly feature).....
