Question about alternator

Hey Everyone Its been a while since I posted so it feels good to be back.

I just got one thing for everyone:

DONT BUY CHROME ALTERNATORS!!:

I am on my third powermaster alternator which is chrome plated and all I get is about 10 months of use before it gets hot and starts causing trouble. I love the look of it but if its not going to make my car run right its not worth it. I ended up going back to the stock alternator that I had to rebuy for around 200 and thats where my question comes in.

Is there anywhere I can buy a replacement front to get rid of that ugly gold/bronze/black front and maybe replace it with black or silver like the alternator itself? Any help would be appeciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a billet fan and pulley on my alternator, check out this pic of my engine to give you an idea:

You can polish the aluminum casing and it will almost be like chrome (but without the added heat issues).

That's what I did with mine and you can also change out the pully and fan for a billet or chrome piece as it will not give you the heat issues the case was on the previous alts.
