I have a question about upgrading my TB. I'll be doing a head/cam swap over the winter and need to upgrade my TB. What is my "best" option? Have my stock TB bored to 52mm or buy an after market one? Which one Holley, BBK, Edelbrock? I had heard some negative comments about some of the after market TBs, but don't really have any proof about it so that's why I'm asking for a recomendation.

 

As long as the engine sees the air it needs, the brand doesn't matter. That being said, a bored stocker will do the job and won't cost as much as a new after market one.

 

I agree, any 52mm should be sufficient.
