ques. on adjusting the clutch linkage

Hey guys, I started smelling something about a week or so ago. Its definitely the clutch burning. How do I adjust the linkage so that it can engage a little more. I think my problem is that its not engaging all the way. When I park the car after...say...a 20 minute drive I can smell it. Thanks....

Is it the stock clutch? I have never seen one of those, so I'm not sure. Sometimes there is a spring adjustment on the pressure plate, like on the Rams. I would say take it apart and check it out...you can figure out a lot that way.

im a mech. have not delt eith many late model F-bodies not on m-6 drivline anyway
i have a freind with a 97-m6 his has no adjustment and the pressure plate works backwards the clutch fork pulls away from the clutch so your pedel is probably relasing the clutch at the very top ahd is slipping and will only get worse the best and cheapest way to fix is find someone that can build cluthes and have hem make a solid disk button clutch (no springs) i use waco clutch and spring about $150 and suggest new pressur plate i think the newer ls1 plate has more presure usually the plate couses the clutch to slip when it get old not enough pressure

Could it be the throwout bearing? I'm not too experienced on how these cluthes work, but it would seem that might have something to do with it.

not likly if throwout it would either not go in gear and hard to shift or would be completly jacked up although i always put a clutch in when the throwout goes expecially on an old clutch not to had of a job we pulled his in about 30min but i am the owner and have 100% acces to lift tools ect.. the main trick is align th clutch the tool is usually free to about $5 pulling tranny is relativly simple on m6

if you don't mind spending the money, buy a Mcleod adjustable master cylinder, its just a pain to install.
