Q? for those that put 94-95 MACS on a 97.

I replaced my cat with the staright piping that MAC sells and it has two holes for the bracket that used to hold up the cat. But my 97 bracket isn't long enough, everything is tight and the piping still sits way low, if I ordered a bracket off a 95 firebird would it be long enough? I looked up the parts in a parts catalog and the two brackets, both the 95 and the 97 looked identical but they are different part numbers. Any help would be appreciated.

Take it to your local muffler shop, tell them whats up, they will weld something up that will work. It will get done quickly and cheaply if they are cool. Its too hit and miss with ordering the parts, the muffler shop should should just be able to weld on a longer bracket and or heat everything up and bend it so it doesnt sag.

How about you 95 guys, when you installed yours, did your cat bracket bolt right up?
