putting in AC refridgerant
putting in AC refridgerant
I have little to no refridgerant in my AC system. Since the thing has a low pressure switch, the compressor wont come on so I can put the stuff in. How do you get around this to make the comp. run so you can charge the system?
Re: putting in AC refridgerant
You have to jump out the compressor relay in the fuse box under the hood. There is a little schematic on the relay itself. Pull it out and use a short piece of wire to jump out the relay contacts.

Re: putting in AC refridgerant
Easiest way is jumping the underhood AC relay[not fooling with the pressure switch] Jump B1 to B4.. to run compressor.. [ bypassing pressure switch.. and PCM signal..]

Re: putting in AC refridgerant
don;t bother jumping anything... you can get enough freon in while teh car is off to short cycle the compressor when you turn it on. From there it will continue to take freon untill you have a full charge
