Which product do you feel puts out more horsepower? K&N intake system or the SLP intake system with two filters? Not sure which one to buy for my 96 Z m6.

 

Power will be about the same, but then you've got to consider the quality of the part and how hard the fliter(s) are to put on/off. SLP is real good quality, but real hard to change the filters

 

Both the same gains, I'd go for which one fits your budget or whick one you think looks best.

 

Buy a Lingenfelter CAI, same power levels (12rwhp on stock 95Z), but cheaper and biggest K&N filter, easier install, and the filter(s) dont fall off. Also easy to get to the clamp to remove it, since its on the top side of the sheet metal. I love mine and paid $150 for it brand new from LPE.

unbiased flowbench testing showed the K&N FIPK outflowed the SLP CAI by quite a bit. sorry i no longer have a link to the testing though

 

I have a slp and should have bought the moroso because in aug once at the track I tried to touch the slp and after a half hour with the hood up it was still too hot to touch. I wish I have invested in a plastic one due to heat soak.
