pacesetter

I got the painted one's too, plug access is alot easier now, can change plugs and wires in 30 mins or less, they sound great too,
My drivers side went in no problem.. passenger side a lil bit more difficult, i had to take off the motor mount, take off starter, remove Valve cover , alternator and i think thats it ..... passenger side went it from top! too........ BTW if anyone is going to do long tubes my advice is too change O2 sensors with the header Install

So plug access is OK? Just looking at the pictures of the headers, looks like #5 may be a little close, but would be easier to tell on the car.

Me and a buddy just installed these on his 96 lt1. The driver side went in easy from the bottom and we didn't remove anything. It does rub the steering column though and that ****ing sucks!! On the passenger side we took off the alternator and valve cover and it slid in from the top. Plug/wire clearance is pretty darned good I would say. I was expecting a really PITA job since I work on LS1's alot but everything went pretty smooth. Took us about 5 hours total from beginning to end.

i am getting ready to order a set of these, I am scared to get the not coated though, afraid they will burn up my wires. I can get them installed for under 250 is that pretty good???

$250 sounds about right for installation.....I wouldn't pay anything more than that. Definitely get the coated ones, it's worth the money.

It helps that I've done tons of header installs...lol. I think my first header install back in the day took like 18 hours and that was a set of hooker shorties on a 95 lt1

Yeah, I ordered my lt pacesetters last week. I plan on doing installation soon. But yeah, I also had a question about the steering knuckle or shaft. What did you do about it?
