Pushrod guideplate wear...is this bad? (pics)

Today I removed the stock rocker arms to install my 1.65 rr's and found that my stock pushrods seem to be rubbing the guideplates. I am running guideplates (unknown brand, installed by Llyod) and stock 94 pushrods which are said to be hardened. They have the hardness test dimple on them btw. Anyway, a couple look as though they are rubbing on side of the guideplate pretty good.

I am unsure if this is normal wear or not. The wear is not smooth. It's pretty rough and pitted in some places. If it's not normal then I think it may be caused by either:

1. Using SA stock stamped rockers with guideplates
2. Using non GM guideplates on an LT1 head
3. My stock 1994 pushrods are not hardened "enough"

I don't know what I need to do. I am installing my new NSA 1.65 RR's along with GM guideplates just to narrow what "I think" it could be. Anyone have any suggestions?

And just to make one long thread; does this look like my stock pushrods are now too long? The head was milled 0.010 and I am using the Felpro gaskets.

I had to use a Crayola marker so it's not the best wear pattern. Should I buy new pushrods? Maybe 7.150"? The wear pattern is just south of the center line. I am not sure on this either.

Thanks for the advice guys
