Pump gas max psi and problems at track

OK, took my new setup to VIR for some road course testing this week, several problems.

-Setup- new 383 with LE2 heads, LE4 cam

-New motor had about 50 miles on the local streets, was running good (couldn't do too much since no mufflers, was crazy loud)

First lap out, after a sweeper, started burning oil. Was coming in through the intake. Found out that the car was 2 quarts over filled (242 canton pan and oil cooler) it was very hard to see clean oil on the dipstick.

Drained out some oil and oil burning problem was solved...got on the straight and the car started popping and running like hell at about 5k rpm.

Pulled off, pulled the plugs, and 3 plugs had the electrodes blown off. Put in new plugs, and still running like crap. Put it on the trailer.

Did a compression check today, fearing I had destroyed something...

Results

1 240 psi 2 235 psi
3 250 psi 4 230 psi
5 240 psi 6 240 psi
7 225 psi 8 235 psi

that was a lot more than I expected, I thought this motor would be 11:1 compression, but it could be more? What is your opinion, is there a calculator that can compute the compression ratio from the psi?

On my second run, after the new plugs, I did run on 100 octane, and no difference....

Any ideas on what could be the cause? (won't idle, sounds horrible.. almost like a plug wire is reversed.) Will check the opti next, (new opti)

Id get that thing in a dyno, also I would not run the pis out of a motor with 50 miles on it.
