pulling crank hub

pulling crank hub

so i have a puller and am trying to get this thing off but its not budging. with an 18 inch handle on the wrench i have turned the puller as much as i (and my dad) possibly can. it just doesnt seem right that it would take this much to get the thing off. anybody have any ideas

Many people do it completely wrong. It is not exactly like a regular SBC. Look here for some info that may help you.

Do you have the puller pulling against itself?? Or did you place an exension in the bolt hole IOT allow hub removal? I have a 6" extension that has been ground IOT fit through the small hole in the hub.

i knew how to do it, in theory, but for some reason seeing how someone else did it makes it so much easier
