Pulley wont come off, help please
When you remove the three bolts from the crankshaft pulley and the center bolt the pulley should just come right off. I removed the bolts and the thing won't budge. I have used 2 pulley pullers and they both broke before the pulley went anywhere, any ideas. I'm thinking of throwing in the towel and taking it to a shop

okay, you can beat on your car, but dont recomend it to others, if i beat mine with my biggest hammer, i would bend something...all that beating might explain why your running only a 12.7 with 100 shot and gears...

go to Oreilly or w/e or autozone and go buy the 3 claw pulley puller with the hooks on the end that can be put on in serveral ways, its like 15-30 bucks..but when you do it take out all the bolts even the 4th one inside the harmonic ballancer and place a BOLT and a BIG WASHER not too big but you want it to fit in the hole and not be able to fall inside that hole....then clamp the 3 hooks on the tip of the pulley its ridged liek this
-----> facing radiator |IIIIIIII| <----facing engine
put clips on that LIP on the facing radiator side then it should work, but make sure you have all 3 hooks on!!
good luck
lemme know if you have n e problems

I'm trying to take of the pulley, I'm in the middle of changing out the opti. I tried the harmonic balancer puller it stiped the bolt, twice. I tried the 3 claw aproach and twisted it with the bigest lever arm I could find. Nothing happend whats going on? I even gave the pulley a soaking in liquid wrench to see if it would free it up, no luck their either.

Thanks for your help shoebox. The problem I had with the claw is no matter how tight I tighten the screws on the joints when I really start twisting it the joints would start changing from the angles I set them at, not allowing it to stay strait. This thing is really on their, I think I'll talk to one of the local mechanics tomorow and see what they can do.
