proper way to port intake for monoblade?(pics)

proper way to port intake for monoblade?(pics)

Hey everybody
is this the way your suppose to port the intake for the mono??Or are you suppose to leave the IAC in place?
I have a new Edelbrock LT4 that I need to port ans I want to make shure I do it right

I left my IAC in place. Don't know if it matters, but I figured just in case.

I have a TPI with a monoblade. I just removed all in the path of good air flow similiar to your top picture. Car runs and idles just fine. By the way I have the AS&M monoblade.
