A larger rear swaybar will cause oversteer, sometimes severe. I was just autoXing today with a friend with a 35mm front and 26mm rear bar. He was wagging the rear all over while I was understeering with my setup (stock swaybars).

Now an aftermarket rear swaybar may be desirable to some setups, however that item would be just about the last thing I would change on my car to add the final touches to the tuning of its handling.

Now a bigger front swaybar can do wonders - and that is what I am going to do next to help ease the major understeer I am experiencing.

I can understand that, I would love to do some open tracking but my wallet is holding me back unfortunately. Thats part of the reason I like auto-x, its cheap

Basically it increases the roll stiffness on the back end of the car which reduces grip. Decreasing grip in the rear (relative to the front) will increase the cars tendency to oversteer. This is bad, especally when you're trying to put power down coming out of a corner.
