proform vortech roller rockers
proform vortech roller rockers
Anyone here used these on thier LT1's? Theyre pretty cheap, which makes me wonder about the "you get what you pay for" quote. Im looking to do a cam swap with springs and roller rockers and was wondering if anyone else out there has used these and if they suck or not and if anyone has some other cost effective alternatives to the GM rollers that aren't total pieces of crap? Thanks guys
Re: proform vortech roller rockers
I have had the Proform 1.5 SA roller rockers on since 118K swapped in a cam and appropriate springs at 132K, now sitting at 159K, I would call them good enough, I do drive hard too. As far as alternatives to the GM ones, I would call those good but they are not great like everyone seems to think I have heard of more than one set being toast in 20K with more aggressive cams and no OD(meaning high revs on the freeway). For exelent quality and a good value you might contact Combination Motorsports, they often have a special going for Comp ProMagnum steel roller rockers with springs at a reasonable price. The steel roller rockers actually act lighter than the aluminums once in motion so there is no downside.
