Proform roller rockers

Hi all, I'm finding myself in the market for a set of 1.6 ratio RR's and just wondering if anyone has good or bad reviews on this set

Thank for any and all input

Re: Proform roller rockers

They are the worst. I unfortunately started with a set of their roller tipped rockers and within 40 miles, the bottom of one blew apart.

I talked to them, and they replaced that set with the full roller set you described. They all fit on the stud except one. It was so poorly cut out in the center, it hit the stud so bad, it would not go on the stud. I had them send a replacement and it had a bad bearing that would not even rotate fully.

They finally sent a replacement for that one and have had them on since January.

So to recap. 1 of 16 defective in the first set. = 6.3% defect.
1 of 16 defective in the second set = 6.3% defect rate
1 of 1 defective in the single replacement = 100%.

See where I'm going with this?

They are made in China. I still have the bag the last one came in. It says it on the bag.

Stay as far away from their mechanical parts as possible. Their cosmetic parts may be ok.

Thanks Speedy, I was concerned due to the price (get what to pay for thing) and was afraid that they would be poor quality. Once again, thanks for the useful info

From all the threads I have seen (and one tool I bought) I agree with Speedy.

Thanks Rob, definitely sounds like steering clear of them would be well advised. Appreciate you taking the time to reply!

Re: Proform roller rockers

yup, heard some bad stories about them things blowing up as well and dropping all the needle bearings into the engine, think about the catastrophic consequences of that happening or at the very least, the trouble you'd have to go through to get all the needles out of the engine assuming it didnt fail as a result. Not worth the $50 youll save. Yer better off getting a used set of crane or comp rollers from the classifieds.

Yes sir, no way I'm chancing any of that nonsense. Bit the bullet and bought me a brand new set of crane race golds, for the awesome price of $300 I've been very happy with the quality of the same rockers in 1.5, so I know I'll be good with these. Thanks for the input!
