is there anyway to tell when my car was built?

Go to a Chevy dealership, give them the car's VIN number, and they can get you a print out with all the information on your car, including the build-date. Good luck.

Check the tag on the side of your door. Or there is one in your engine compartment. On the plastic over your fan or radiator. I found mine on the side of my door.
