problem fixed on my car

recently i had my trans rebuilt it. car ran good for a while then one day the ses light came on and i had a high idle in park (like 1100 rpm when warmed up). started to drive and car wouldent shift untill 3400 rpm in each gear. if i was doing 40 and punched the gas. it wouldent downshift. it would pull slowly in the gear its in. brought it to trans shop. they scaned it and told me my throttle position sensor is faulty and recomending me changing it. well ... put in a new tps, reset the computer and the car ran great . so far no problems.

just letting people know that a tps will affect a transmission shifting on a4 cars

That's because the shift tables in the computer use %TPS and MPH as the variables to make the shifts.
