Problem with clutch when installing tranny.
Problem with clutch when installing tranny.
Sorry mods, no responses in the drivetrain section.
So I have tranny, motor, clutch and everything reinstalled after redoing the motor and stuff. I go to install the clutch line and thingy (sorry for being so exact ) on to the transmission, and it sticks out too far. Easy, so I figure i would just press the clutch in and it would release the pressure and let me fit it in fine. Nope, the clutch wont go down at all. How can I relieve the pressure or anything?

Re: Problem with clutch when installing tranny.
I just use a little muscle and push it up on there, Have nut in hand ready to start once ya get it pressed up on there.
Good luck
If your talking about the clutch solenoid that is. make sure ya get it in the cup of the fork though.

Re: Problem with clutch when installing tranny.
Yea, dumbass me pushed the clutch a bit to hard and it probably poped the seal inside the solenoid. I did try forcing it on there, but there was no reasoning with it. I found it odd that I couldnt push the clutch down though too?!?!

Ya won't be able to disengage the clutch without a long bar.
