Probelms with EliteSparkPlugs wires

Anyone had problems with their elitesparkplugs wire set? I ordered an OVC set, the 9mm, in the "chrome" (they look like braided steel). I had them on for three days and they were fine, but now they are arcing all over the place! I find it near impossible to keep the wires completely seperated from the opti up to the valve cover looms; and they seem to be arcing wherever they are touching each other. I have looked at some pics of other installs with different wires (i.e. Taylors) and they have wires touching, one even had all four wires cable tied together.
Bottom line is my car ran good for three days, and now it isn't running good again. The wires are arcing all over the front of the engine.
Help!

is this common? I am just about to buy a set of wires from them, but if they arc this badly commonly I may reconsider.

I've had mine on for a few months now with no problems, Elite is a great company and they really back up their work 100%. Give them a call, I'm sure they will help you out.

No vendor is going to be perfect. I am running a set of Elite wires, and mine are great. I went with a black set, not chrome, so I don't know if this has anything to do with your problem? But my Elite wires are superior in quality to my 2 previous Taylor sets. I'd try talking to Elite, they should get you a new set.

I just finished installing their wires on my car yesterday. I had the passenger side installed for about a week and just never got aroudn to the drivers side. I have the 1200* wires, no problems as of yet...

I had arching problems, I sent them a message on sunday, they called me monday morning and I got a brand new set of wires tuesday morning at 9AM. I'm extremely satisfied with the service and the quality of the wires. Give them a call or send them a message, they'll take care of you.

IMO, I wouldn't order the "chrome" ones; just to be safe...

I recieved an email back from EliteSparkPlugs in a few hours, stating that a new set was on the way!
They definitely do have good customer service!
Thanks again

Re: Probelms with EliteSparkPlugs wires

A bunch of mine just starting arching. I hope this is just a fault set. I e-mailed Maldo and seeing what he says. I need a set of these QUICK. I have had these on for about 5 months and no problems until tonight. They are arching like crazy, I hope it is just the wires.

Yup, def the wires. I just made sure all the boots were on tight, and the spark plugs were fine. The wires are arching were the boot is on the spark plug. I need a new set.

Re: Probelms with EliteSparkPlugs wires

Just installed mine, and they are great! red 1200 degree ones. I got chrome ones at first, and they arched like crazy right away. I think he just got a bad batch of wire in chrome. No biggie, customer service was great, and the wires are super nice!
