You mean these:

They sure do look like NSA pro comps.
I have the real deal.
Not sure what to say.

Re: pro mag knock offs?

Don't know about that, I paid $170 for a set of ProForms a few years ago at 118K on the car, at 132K I cammed it and put in appropriate springs and it currently sits at something over 165K recent inspection showed them to be doing well.
A lot of times extra cost just covers gross overadvertizing or is in itself a marketting tactic to lure in the "you get what you pay for" crowd.

I do not know about these exact rockers but if you try them let us know how they work.

Proform is a credible company... "No-name" is kind of a hit or miss.

Comp doesn't make their RR's. The "look alikes" may be made all by the same Co.DRE makes some of Comps stuff.

i was kinda thinking along that lines....

but either way, i want feedback off these particular rockers, considering the price diff someone has had to have bought some and tried them out!
besides, comp pretty much owns the market on the moly rockers, these are stainless so they may be heavier but i know they are just as strong. i'm also wondering if i can use pro mag bearings in them, if they are machined to the same tolerances...

Even if Comp Cams doesn't produce thier rockers directly... they do have a qaulity standard that is need to be met, and the design would also be covered under thier patent. No names may have a different level of quality control, and although it looks similar you may not be getting the same thing.

Patent on what? Not every product is covered under current patent protection and I can't think of a single part of a roller rocker that would be a new enough design and unique enough to qualify for current patent protection. Using steel instead of aluminum can't be enough of a difference from the rest of the pack to warrant a patent.

Re: pro mag knock offs?

I know Crower makes an Identical (but of more CM content) rocker.

I have used a few other cat products and didn't have any problem with them (rods, cranks) but I allways have my machinist look stuff over while I have it in there to him. For rockers , if your spring pressure isnt going to be rediculous and your rpms are going to be 6500 or less , I would say try them out.
