pro mag 3/8 rr

I was wondering whats better going with a 3/8 rr or 7/16 this guy is selling the whole kit new for around 200 dollars. I am going to put a joe.o cam in in a couple of weeks, I know 7/16s is stronger other than that I dont know Thanks.

Like you said, a 7/16" stud is stronger and will deflect less under load. If you are going to run real stiff valve springs, stronger studs would be nice but $200 for a set of promags (assuming they are new) would be hard to turn down.

In the long run, which would you rather have: saved $100, or worry about weaker 3/8" studs, and if they will deflect/break under load.

After 1 year, you will never miss the money, but you would always worry about the parts.

With the stock cam I'd run LT4 springs. Less spring pressure = less wear and tear on the valvetrain. In that case 3/8 studs will do fine.

Yes, but he says that he's putting a Joe O. cam in, in a couple of weeks. I've heard that his ramps are pretty agressive.

Maybe you should ask Joe what he recommends.
