Pro 5.0 w/shortstick

I'm going to replace my factory shifter with a unit from Pro 5.0. I was looking at buying from either Thunder Racing or Speed Inc. for $179.99. However, Speed Inc. sells a Pro5.0 shifter with a short stick for 20 dollars more or $199.99 in total. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to get the short stick or is the normal one good enough? Thanks for the help!

it is not worth $20...Cut your stick from pro 5.0 for about 1 inch and you done..I did that and work great..Of course if you have extra $20 is your choice. By the way I cut my stick for about 2 inches and then put momo shift **** on it; it really rocks!!!

yeah i have the pro 5.0 shifter too. dont have the short stick and havent cut mine, though i'll probably do one of the two this year possibly. if you are looking to save the 20 bucks then just do it yourself and save the cash towards something else. lots of people do that.

I have the 5.0 with the short stick. I got them both together. I wish I would have just cut an inch or so off of the 5.0 stick. I will be the same length, but the 5.0 stick isnt straight where it bolts up, its angled and makes it sit toward the left a little. With the short sick, it isnt centered, its more toward the right.

do you have to cut more threads on the 5.0 stick if you cut it? or is there enough there for the **** to screw on after it's cut?

Thunder

Well, I decided to order through Thunder racing(last week) and simply got the normal pro 5.0 . If I decide that it needs to be shortened down the road, I can always do it for free. I hope this shifter is as good as everyone says it is!
