Exclamation Power window fix - not motor

Just thought I would share in case someone else experiences this.

My passenger window started acting oddly. Goes down about half an inch then sticks. Won't go up or down from either switch. Open and close the door and it works fine untill you close the window all the way (up) then the same thing.

So, I had some time last night, used Shoebox's excellent instructions to take the door apart .
I was hoping to find a bad connection, getting GM parts down here quickly is a challenge. Anyway, found the culprit: The side mirror pod that has the 'channel' for the leading edge of the glass was completely loose! It was causing the glass to bind in the channel when going down. So adjusted that and tightened it down now everything is OK.

So if your power window seems to bind, apart from inspecting the actuator remember to check the mirror pod.

Mine gets stuck going up. It will go a couple inches, then stop. You have to wait a minute or so, then it will move a couple more inches. You gotta keep doing it until its all the way up. Whats wrong?

Had the same problem in my '98 bird...it just slowly got worse and worse. I took my door apart everything was good. I swapped the motor and it works fine now. My '94 T/A is getting there no too. It's probably your motor...take your door apart when you got time and make sure everything is good as far ast he track etc. - if everything appears to eb secure like the guy above posted then plan on swapping out that motor. It's very common for these to die. My passenger camaro motor was recently replaced, my passenger T/A motor is going now it seems.
