Power Steering bypass, How to?
I have a 95 Z that is lightened and I run skinny's at the track. The PS is not needed but how do I get rid of it? Most of the time all I need is a way to run the alternator by it self. Any suggestions?

Do you have AC? Did you want to delete PS permanantly?
If so, I have a bracket that can help you out.
I have a working model of a different variation to retain power steering, I just haven't had it set up for production as of this time.

Another thought would be to remove the A/C completely and drive a different car when it's 100+. Then put the alternator in place of the a/c compressor and run crank to Alt only. I'm not sure if that would work either. Has anyone done something similar on an LT1?

BTW Steve the stock alternator is huge and weighs a friggen ton. Do you or anyone else know of a smaller/lighter unit? I don't need 140amp either since I've got no stereo, no interior lighting, etc.

lt1camaroman,
I've recieved the emails and responded promply within a few hours of each. Maybe your e-mail preferences have my address blocked...not sure. Give me a call or email me your telephone number and I can take care of you. If you need me to fax you information, I can do that also.
