Sorry if it is not the right board.
Tonight my power seat started acting funny. When I sat in the car the seat started rising by itself. Then once it was all the way up I couldn't move it in anyways, like it was dead. After many attempts and shaking it a little bit it worked again for a little while. But whichever way I move it, once I let the switch, it rises.

I know I kind of bumped in the seat when I sat in the first time.
Any ideas? I kind of think that it might be the control switch that is busted.

The switch may be stuck or wire crossed. The seat works on a breaker. When the breaker gets hot (like if the switch was stuck), it would eventually trip. Then you would have no power until it cools, then it would work again until it got hot and tripped again, etc, etc.
I would try to find the source of your problem and maybe pull the breaker until you do. Watch out, because it could be hot enough to burn your fingers.

 

I think you're right cause one of the two motors (the one to go up) was hot even before I did anything. I will check that tomorrow.
