Hi everyone I'm new to this site and have only had my Camaro for about a month.It runs good upto 5000 rpms and seems to lack power until it shifts.Is this normal?I'm not used to a car falling off as it winds up.

I'd simply start with a fuel filter ,

 

It should pull all the way up until it shifts. Might be time for a tune-up if you don't know the history of the car (wires, plugs, air/fuel filter).
