Post Up Your CC503 Results!

Hey everyone ive searched the forum and havent really found much results on the cc503. Track or Dyno numbers dont matter im just looking to get a feel for what cam only or h/c car its puts down. My 210,000km motor runs mint but for how long after i start doing internals will it last? Not very long likely. I just picked up a low km drop out and going to build it up on spare time while its still out on a stand. Im more then likely going for h/c just wanted see what some your guys results are with and without for a good idea where im going sit once the motor goes in.

why not just get the matching cam for the LE or AI heads? pretty much same price unless you already have a cc503 lying around

as for numbers I made 325rwhp through an unlocked stalled auto with midlengths, .027 gapped TR6 plugs, 130k+ miles, etc with stock heads

through a 6 speed I'd imagine more than 350 considering many cam only cars in m6 dyno around that

Thanks fella's i need something emissions friendly and well here in Ontario cc503 is on the border of that wall and can be messed with to pass if need be. The car is a street use car mainly and is my summer dd so i need good useable lowend torque. The more agreesive cam i go the more i loose that torque range and dont want it to be a dog on the street where it sees 95% of its life. Im getting the cam cheap off a buddy of mine brand new in box. The lower km engine im picking up will be in my garage for a year so i got plenty of time to work on it and afford heads to get my most out of it. I dropped an engine out of a buddys car and it aint fun so i dont want to be pissing around and do it right the first time.

I kind of figured 330rwhp cam only and about 350rwhp with heads just wanted see what everyone has for a combo and what they netted.

I made 325rwhp with a high mileage stalled auto, you stock heads and m6 should make 340-350rwhp cam only

Id be happy for anything over 350rwhp which is my goal. If its exceeds my goal hey nothing wrong with that but i wanted a good dd car with some good power to keep those mustangs lookin at my tail lights

I didn't know those were interchangeable with an LT-1

If you are saying they are not you should do more rsearch, however if you are saying you didn't know I apologise for the misunderstanding.

The replacement LT1/LS1 are all now of the same design. There have been some noted issues, but it is a very small percentage and from what I have seen other factors were in play. I have them in two LT1 motors performing flawlessly.

Yes they are. Different length pushrods may be in order (the length always needs to be checked for correct geometry). This has been discussed at great length.
