Possible to use coil for tach signal?

Will using the signal wire off a coil for your tach cause a problem?

Which wire would you use? The one on the ignition module? White one?

i'm in the process of installing nitrous on my car, and for the window switch i used the green wire going to the coil.

i havn't used it yet, but from the research i've done it looks like that's the one to use. if it will work for a window switch it should work for a tach.

someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

Does a 1993 have white/black wire going from the ICM to the coil? If so, you can use it.

david97gsxr: that dark green wire is virtually the same one I am telling Grip to use. 96-97s have a little different wiring and a different coil.
