possible exhaust leak. Muffler upgrade Options?

As the title said, I think my Flowmaster muffler has called it quits, cause when I let off the gas, the normal backpressure rumbling is now a distict, "fart like popping". My current exhaust setup is a random tech hi flow cat, into 3 inch piping, into the flowmaster muffler with stock tips. Has anybody upgraded from a flow to something else? I'm looking for loud and deep. Is there any difference between a complete cat back, or just getting a muffler, in my case cause I already have the increased pipe diameter? Any help/opinions would be o so clutch. Thanks fellows.

I assume you bought the Flowmaster catback if you already have a 3" i-pipe. If that's the case, I'd just swap the muffler out for something else. As for direct replacement mufflers, Flowmaster is probably the loudest, then Hooker, Magnaflow, and Dynomax. All are great flowing mufflers too.
