Possible Blown Head Gasket???

Just got done driving my car home from work this afternoon, and had a very, very rough idle, and had large amounts of white smoke coming out of my exhaust. From the searching i did on this website, it sounds like i have a blown head gasket. The only thing that makes me think othewise is that i changed my oil after this (I needed it changed anyway) and it did not have any signs of antifreeze in it. So, do you guys think its a blown head gasket, or could it be some other sort of problem, like a bad radiator. Please Help!!!

take off the rad cap. Is there coolant missing? I would also look at the plugs. I have blown a few head gaskets and there isnt always signs of coolant in the oil. Another place to look is take off the oil fill cap and look to see if there is a white film on the cap and/or the filler neck, you may even want to take off the valve covers and look for the white milky film on the inside of them as well. Better to look 1st before you pull it all apart. If there is a yes to anyone of those questions then you MIGHT have a blown head gasket

Sounds like a head gasket to me.. the only thing id worry about is where all that anitfreeze is goin especially since its not in the oil, id check for other possible leaks along with what lillbush5555 said

Re: Possible Blown Head Gasket???

pretty sure it is alot of money. I just did it myself and it was almost 500 for parts, and machine work. It all depends on if the heads and/or the block is warped. I would say your looking at prob about 1k to have someone do it. I know it is steep but thats what they charge (I assume)
