noticed when i was lowering the engine down that the passenger side header only has about 1/2 inch clearance above the k member then I noticed I have to lower the engine 2 more inches ATLEAST to even make contact with the motor mount.... What the hell??????? BTW I have jethots, this couldnt be common... or maybe im dumb and there is a simple solution i hope...

Maybe your motor mounts are old and need to be replaced? I know with my hookers it sits right on the kemember due to a old motor mount. Anyone else have any ideas?

hmm Ill check that out someone else from a motorsports shop in plano said inbolt the header almost all the way and lower the engine down and see how much room you have then and if it wont bolt up correctly notch the k member, gonna try that but I think I would have to notch it quite a bit from the looks of it so ill ask about the mount keep ideas comming if there is anything else I can do... thanks...

I have heard of people having to "notch" their K-member to get their headers installed.

yeah its catching in the back, I may try replacing the mount, but as it is it would require more than a notch to say the least, tried unbolting the header except on bolt in front and moving it around as I lowered it to see if I could drop the engine back on the mount but I cant move the header enough to allow that...

asked around a few shops and knowledgable car guys and talked and it sounds like a manufacture defect which apparently happens on occasion so Ill need pictures which I plan on getting tomorrow and to contact matt at jethot to see what can be done... thanks for the ideas, im not making excuses ive been messing with these for around nearly 40 hours total in teh past 4 or 5 days and am almost positive that passenger header was made incorrectly...maybe I could get the pics on here and see what everyone thinks??
