Is it Possible?

Is there any way to take a stock A4 with a 2.73 rear end and with about 1000 make it into an around 400 (crank) hp car? Without running forced induction?

If so, what route would you go? Suggestions as to how it should be done right...ect ect.

Thanks in advance.

first off 2.73s dont effect your power

2nd-
i dont know about 400hp but for $1000 and doing it yourself

Lt4 hotcam definatly, PCM forless tuning, make your own CAI, cutout, and maybe used headers?

You misread me sir. I was not getting testy with you.

My lack of use of smileys probably reflected the misreading by you.

Ill remember to use them in future responses.

yeah.. slap a 200 shot on there and voila 400 rwhp.. will the motor last.. probably not, but its only gonna cost your 600 to do it right .. unless you figure in rebuild costs...
