is this possible?

I decided i wanted to have my car scanned the other day so i went to my neighbor. He has a huge 5 car garage that basically is a shop. We hooked up the scanner and got to work..to my surprise.. everything was DEAD ON. Not a single sensor, measurement, anything was off. I dont mean exactly on the number but in the range it was supposed to be... heres what really got me because i didnt think it was possible. 0 knock and 0% timing retard? How is my car running so good?

I think you're a little confused. 0 knock means that the knock sensor is not picking up any sounds that it considers to be detonation and 0% timing retard is because the sensor isn't hearing any of those sounds. You should have seen another category that would have said "timing advance" and that would give you your timing, if that's what you were confusing the "timing retard" with.

Re: is this possible?

Did you scan the engine with the car idling in the garage or did you take it for a drive, including WOT?

Re: is this possible?

no i wasnt confused.. we looked at the timing advance as well. And we did take it for a few runs while we were scanning.
