Porting my Holley 58mm TB...

I am in the process of redoing my intake setup in order to get my MAF directly in front of the TB. I am installing a NX MAF setup and don't want to spray through my 1LE elbow.

With my new TB to MAF connector it was apparent that some of the Holley TB is not very air friendly. It has a small "wall" in the middle of the blades, on both the top and bottom. You can see it in this pic:

I decided to smooth it out with a Dremel. I got the bottom done, haven't touched the top yet:

You can can in this pic with the bellow attached the wall at the top can really cause some turbulence:

If an air foil can be worth a few ponies on a relatively stock car I firgure this might be worth while on a big breathing motor. Anyone else ever try this? Think it was a waste of a Saturday afternoon?

I will post pics when I get the top done.
